COMMUNITY CENTRE FINALLY OPENS- THANKS TO PREVIOUS LIBERAL GOVERNMENT

Today, Member for South Barwon Andrew Katos MP attended the official opening of the Kurrambee Myaring Community Centre in Torquay.

This centre was funded thanks to the previous Liberal Government, with an allocation of $1.6 million from the Napthine Government to build this facility.

Mr Katos, in attending the opening ceremony was pleased to see the centre finally completed.

This facility will provide much needed day care places, three-year old and four-year-old kindergartens.

Mr Katos points to the significant amount of growth in the region, and Torquay North and Armstrong Creek which certainly highlights the need for this type of spending and facilities to be built.

This facility is another example of how the previous Liberal Government ensured that South Barwon electorate received vital infrastructure spending.

“I am pleased to attend today’s opening and see such a great facility, made possible by my announcement in 2014.”

“Thanks to the former Liberal State Government, we saw investment into the region to assist with providing vital services for the region”

“Daniel Andrews cannot even get a set of traffic lights switched on in Pioneer Road Grovedale yet alone deliver the vital infrastructure projects that South Barwon electorate needs.”

“Like all residents, I am pleased to see this project completed – with the amount of growth in the region; this is a vital project to ensure that the infrastructure and facilities in our region keep up.”
